The Rhode Island Lottery has announced that online casinos in the state generated $2.25 million in net gaming revenue (NGR) in May, marking the second full month of regulated iGaming.
This represents an 8.4% increase from April’s $2.08 million.
In May, Rhode Island residents wagered a total of $61.2 million at online casinos, with $33.7 million spent on slots and $27.4 million on table games. After payouts, slot revenue comprised 72% of the NGR, amounting to $1.6 million, while table games contributed $627,472.
Regulated iGaming was launched in Rhode Island on March 5, with Bally’s as the exclusive online provider. Rhode Island became the seventh state in the US to legalize iGaming, joining Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Collectively, these states generated $635 million in revenue in May.
